Step through the front door of The Old Manse and immediately be charmed by the warmth and welcome generated by this fabulous house. Adjacent to Flexbury Church and directly opposite the Bude & North Cornwall golf course, the house oozes charm and tranquillity along with truly exquisite décor. With many original features, including the stunning Victorian tiled entrance hall and original cast iron fireplaces with original tiles, this house simply demands that you relax and embrace its warmth and sophistication.
With four bedrooms offering exceptional comfort for eight guests and a single room with full size bed, the bedrooms are beautifully furnished and homely. The house has three super-kings (which are suitable for changing into singles if required) with a further double room so there is versatility for whichever sleeping arrangements suits guests. The drawing room has comfy seating and offers and open fireplace for those chilly winter evenings and has Sky, Blu-Ray player and large flat screen television and views over the golf course. A fully equipped kitchen leads to the dining room with woodburning stove and has a warm and welcoming ambiance – sit around the dining table and sample some of the fabulous local produce that the West Country provides. There is also a separate children’s room with DVD player and PlayStation – let the children entertain themselves whilst you sit and relax in the sumptuous elegance of the cosy drawing room.
A courtyard dining area, with lighting, creates a wonderful Mediterranean feel and there is a small grassed garden for simply sitting and relaxing. A short stroll to the beach or into town, where there is a good selection of restaurants and shops, puts The Old Manse in a superb position be it for a beach holiday, golf or sightseeing.
A beautiful home, lovingly refurbished and furnished by the owners, offers a perfect house for enjoying a peaceful and relaxing holiday; you will be enchanted.
The house comes with the private use of a beach hut at the Bude Sea Pool.
The Sea Pool at Bude was created in the 1930s to provide a haven for safe swimming for the people of the town and the thousands of people who visit it each year.
The pool nestles under the cliffs on the north Cornwall coast and is topped up twice a day by the waves of the Atlantic. On a summer’s day the sprawling, sparkling expanse of the Sea Pool offers a blissful opportunity to escape from modern life and to laze, splash or bathe in calm sea water. It is a rare kind of construction: partially man-made and in harmony with the natural environment. Bude Sea Pool provides a precious opportunity to enjoy a unique experience, close to the ferocity of the natural environment but sheltered from its extreme effects.
The pool is perfect for youngsters to swim and play in at all times and the beach hut offers fabulous views over the pool and the Atlantic beyond.
From the moment you step inside the door to The Old Manse you feel relaxed and at home. The property is furnished to a high standard, spotlessly clean and everything is catered for including a lovely welcome pack of tea, coffee and biscuits.
Location is perfect for both Crooklets and Summerleaze beaches, the golf course and the town with its variety of shops, bars and restaurants, all within walking distance.
Booking through Elite West Holidays was a breeze. Contact Nick Compton was delightful to deal with, very prompt in responding to questions and supplying a wealth of information about the property and surrounding area. I highly recommend them.
A great experience all round, cannot fault a thing!

Anybody staying at the this house would not be disappointed,
It was spacious, very clean and certainly comfortable,
Located in a quiet part of town but close enough and in walking distance for easy
Access to shops and the town centre...this house has the added bonus of a beach hut overlooking the sea pool which in
Good weather was a real asset..would definitely consider staying here again..
We had a wonderful holiday at the Old Manse in Bude this week in spite of the wet weather at the beginning of our stay. The house was perfect for us; beautifully presented and spotlessly clean, lots of space and within easy walking distance of the beaches, the canal and shops. The beach hut was a real bonus too. There was lots to do in and around Bude as well, and we'd love to return to the house in the future.
We rented the Old Manse for a week for a gathering of family and friends from all over the UK to celebrate my 60th birthday. It felt like "home" to all of us as soon as we walked in the door, and remained so for the rest of our stay - the only complaint was that it was too short and we should have stayed longer to enjoy the house and the all that Bude has to offer for longer.
The house is beautifully and tastefully equipped with everything we needed. The 2 reception rooms, games room and lovely outdoor space meant that we had plenty of room to suit our varying interests - TV, quiet chats, games, sunbathing etc.
The beach hut is a real bonus and we enjoyed many happy hours there.
I can't recommend the Old Manse highly enough - the location is excellent for a very easy stay in Bude.
I know Bude well, as I spent my teenage years there - and it has greatly improved from the town I knew then - the beaches and cliff and canal walks are wonderful, the sea pool unique , the amenities varied and the shopping excellent. I could call it the perfect seaside town.
We are already talkingof plans for a return visit.
For the third year we have holidayed in Bude using Elite Hilday West and for the second year at the Old Manse. The Old Manse is a delightful family property in a stunning position and with all the facilities you could possibly need for a happy, busy family holiday. It is appointed to the highest standard with attention to detail making so much difference and making this holiday, as with all Elite West holidays, stand out. Nick of Elite West cares for his holidaymakers like a favourite uncle with good humour and smooth efficiency which makes the holiday run without a hitch. I cannot recommend either the Old Manse or Elite West highly enough. We are already looking forward to our 2 booked holidays with Elite West in 2015
