We had some very great days in Alghero. Your flat is very nice furnished and it did function very well.
The location is optimal,- convenient and very romantic. And your concern about your guests are so overwhelming,- the correspondence both before our arrival and here afterwards, and how Lucia was meeting us when we came to Alghero. It was all handled in a top professionel way. The start-kit is also a very nice and convenient gesture!!
We had three days with sunshine and 20 c ,- top nice!!!
We will definitely be back in Alghero and in your flat if it is possible.

Awesome apartment, with everything you need to be comfortable. The location was perfect. We loved the recommendations the owners made for restaurants. Any questions or needs we had were fully accommodated. Thanks for a great stay, we would stay here again when we come back to Alghero.
We had a lovely stay for a few days in March . Check in straight forward and Marguerita was very helpful. The apartment is fitted out to a high standard and was very clean. An unexpected welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, juice and wine was very appreciated and just right for our stay. We were grateful that the heater was switched on for us because the weather was still a little chilly. We have been to Alghero previously in the summer and found naturally that it was much quieter and fewer restaurants were open. The beauty of the apartment is that you step out of your door right on to one of the main squares and a passage takes you from the square to the harbour. The only downside is the head height in the bedroom is a little low but we got used to it, and being in the old town meant we had to park the car a short walk away which was not really a problem.Overall would still recommend to others.
We stayed for 10 days in October. The apartment is excellent, beautifully decorated and presented, well furnished and the kitchen is well equipped. The manager was also very friendly and helpful. Its location in the Old Town is perfect for exploring, being in the midst of things and also quiet and away from traffic. Well positioned for restaurants etc. I would heartily recommend this apartment and the location. I love Sardinia and will definitely be back
The booking process was simple and the instructions clear. The apartment was well maintained, clean and contained everything we needed. We loved the location, being in the middle of the old town was, in our view, the best place to be in Alghero.
We visited Alghero for the first time in July and loved it. The apartment was fantastic! The design was beautiful and the location in the centre of the old town was absolutely perfect. The bedroom was so comfortable and we had all the conveniences we needed plus the great little touches that the hosts provided with their welcome gift. Elizabeth and Giuseppe were very helpful prior to our arrival and during our stay. They made us feel as if we knew the town even before we landed. They were always available if we needed something and Margherita could also be reached to help if we needed. We immediately got into the Alghero vibe and when we came back to London after a fabulous holiday we raved to all our family and friends that they had to visit!! We definitely recommend Alghero and Spinnaker Holidays and hope to be back again next summer.
Alghero is a vibrant, modern city that has a local population year round of approximately 40,000 people. Various cultural events and exhibits take place throughout the year. Walking historic cobbled stone streets, under the arches and along the walled bastions that protected this city from invasion will captivate your imagination. You can find ancient churches and fortresses as you wander throughout the city. Visitors can also gain an understanding of the local culture by visiting the 'Mercato' or Market in the centre of town which is overflowing with local fruits and vegetables, fish that has arrived fresh from the sea that morning, local meats and cheeses from the countryside, and the famous breads (a must have is the pane guttiau...trust us!) and dolce.
Local beaches and restaurants are all within walking distance. Bicycles are also available. For those looking to explore the sites in the vicinity, we recommend renting a car to take you to the cliffs of Capo Caccia, the Grotte di Nettuno or to the beaches of Bombarde or Stintino. The coastlines around Alghero are stunning with views of Capo Caccia from all angles. A short drive will take one to either Bosa further south or Stintino a bit further north, each of which are rich in local culture and history.
The temperatures in the summer on the coast can average 28 degrees celcius, but can get up to the mid 30's in August. It is possible to swim from May to November as the summer months can extend for about 6/7 months. The spring time is more mild and allow the visitors to appreciate the lush green countryside prior to the arrival of the dry heat of the summer.
Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and is known as an island of the extremes. Rugged coast lines, turquoise and emerald coloured seas, large areas of pastures and dense mountain ranges in the centre of the Island. It was first inhabited by man in 6,000 B.C and is known for its rich archaeological history. The first settlers were from the Italian mainland and the Iberian peninsula. The Island has a history of invasion with one of the first being the Phoenicians and defended itself against constant coastal raids from the Carthagians, Byzantines and Berbers. In 1354 the Aragons seized Alghero and transformed it into a Catalan city. Visitors will still see elements of the Iberian origins (the Aragons were in power for 400 years in Alghero) in the local dialect which is similar to Catalan and can be seen in the dual named street signs. Since the 18th century the Italian royal family used to spend their summer holiday in Alghero.
