Make a vacation rental in Vail, USA your home away from home

Vail self-catering vacation accommodation is set in an upscale ski resort town found in Colorado’s mountainous Northwestern region. This famous destination, now 50 years old, has drawn generations of winter sport enthusiasts, and is the largest ski resort in the United States to be located on one mountainside.

Things to do in Vail, USA

Vail self-catering vacation rentals would be any keen skier or snowboarder’s dream. The resort here boasts almost 200 runs, a half of which are advanced, with a total skiable area of more than 5,000 acres. The slopes are served by 33 different lifts, including a 12-person gondola.

Tickets for the slopes are approximately $100 a day, but it helps if you know someone who lives in the resort, because that might make you eligible for a Buddy Pass, which costs only $35 per day. At peak season there can be quite long queues, but these can be bypassed if you head up to the slopes from your Vail chalet a little earlier in the morning, or join the line for the quad chair instead of the gondola.

In the summer months Vail becomes a destination that appeals to anyone hoping to enjoy the great outdoors. At this time of year you’ll be able to hire a mountain bike to explore the spectacular scenery all around – there are breathtaking peaks, forests, rivers and lakes to admire close to Vail vacation rentals. You could catch the Gondola to get to the mountaintop to enjoy wonderful views of the area.

The valley below also features a number of golf courses. In fact there are 12 within easy reach of Vail self-catering accommodation – the Cotton Ranch Golf Club features 18 holes and is open to the public.

Lovely Property

4 of 5
This condo is lovely with nice furnishings, nice quality linens, and a well-equipped kitchen. It was clean and we appreciated an unexpected notification that we could have an early check-in. The unit has beautiful views, when you look beyond the busy interstate in the foreground (see next paragraph). I would echo the many other complimentary reviews all of which I read before booking unit 1504. We used the shuttle to downtown which was convenient. There is a trail head for the Gore River Trail just across a round-about, and we thoroughly enjoyed both biking and walking the trail. From the complex, there are sidewalks and an underpass making access to the trail simple. The management company was easy to work with and responded quickly to any specific questions I had. Although I could have looked up the address of the complex on my own, I waited for VRBO/HA to send me the specific location and did not put it in on Google Maps until I had already booked the unit. This complex sits right on the frontage road that runs along I-70, thus the traffic noise is terrible. I am surprised no other reviewer has mentioned that information. In the winter, staying here would probably be fine, but I will not stay here in the summer again. It was warm enough that we had to have windows open (and appreciated the inclusion of fans in the unit). There was a constant roar of road noise day and night. Maybe one of the back units would not be so bad, but I can’t imagine there isn’t quite a bit of noise in those as well. This issue is the only reason I would not give this property five stars. One other downside of this unit is that there is no balcony, though given the noise level, I don’t suppose we would have used it much. Some of the units do have small balconies. The unit itself merits a five star. The convenience of the location merits a five star. The noise level in this unit, however, probably should make it fall below the four stars I am giving it.
