Jiminy Peak is open all year round, but it really comes to life in the winter ski season, There are 45 trails covering 170 skiable acres which are served by 9 lifts including the first quad chair in the state. Alpine and Nordic skiing are available and night skiing is particular fun for all the family with 21 lighted trails running for miles. Snowboarders will be thrilled with the snowboarding park. Snowmobiling and snow shoeing are also available. In summer the lake offers kayaking, fishing and boating. Hiking along the Appalachian Trail is a real pleasure and for cyclists the Ashuwilticook Bike Trail is within easy reach. Golfing, horseback riding, canoeing, fishing and white water rafting are some of the memorable things to see and do in the area.

There are a surprising number of cultural attractions to be visited from a holiday home rental in Jiminy Peak. The MassMoca is just 20 minutes’ drive away at North Adams and the excellent concert venue at Tanglewood is just 30 minutes south. Williamstown has an excellent theatre and is a charming town to browse around with many good restaurants to choose from. Larger shops can be found on a visit to the Berkshire Mall. The Berkshire Museum and the Norman Rockwell Museum are popular places to visit or spend the day at the Bash Bish Falls State Park in Mount Washington which has the tallest falls in Massachusetts. Stockbridge is a delightful old village a short drive from Jiminy Peak and is home to the Berkshire Botanical gardens and some excellent restaurants.

Buses connect the airport with Downtown Albany, but the best way to reach Jiminy Peak is by hiring a car and driving the scenic route.
