It is now a national park and includes a visitor centre, historic farm and many hiking trails through the surrounding forest. Major cities to visit include the capital, Indianapolis, which is home to the State Capitol building, the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument, the largest Scottish Rite Cathedral in the world and the Indianapolis Zoo. Bloomington is an arts-orientated city which is home to Indiana University, Lake Monroe and Hoosier National Forest.
