We stayed at this lovely property from 22nd May to 5th June 2018 and had a great time, which included our daughter’s wedding. The house is located in a beautiful gated complex which is well kept and peaceful. The house itself is very clean and comfortable and well decorated, especially liked the themed bedrooms. We slept in the Master Bedroom and found the bed and bedding very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would have at home and we loved the large fridge freezer with ice maker which was greatly appreciated on the very hot days. The pool area was clean and well lit and it was nice to just relax around it on non park days or in the evenings, however I do feel that the poolside furniture could do with updating as it was looking a bit tired. The games room in the garage with the football table, pool table and table tennis was a big success and offered good fun and competition. Only having one key was not ideal and the only way we could get round it was to keep using the lockbox, so maybe a second key could be issued or even install a code lock like many of the other properties on the complex. Walmart and Publix Supermarkets are only a 5 minutes drive away in either direction and are both well stocked with everything you may need, although I did find Walmart a bit overwhelming on the first day. This house is in a great location for all the Disney Parks, the longest journey to a Park being about 25mins, there are also plenty of restaurants and shopping at Disney Springs. It is also only about 40 minutes from the Universal Parks and other Retail Shopping Outlets. I cannot speak more highly of this property and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to spend a relaxing family holiday with all the comforts of home.
The villa is in a great location at the western end of the 192, so ideal for Disney (though the 192 itself gets busier each year!). Highgrove estate is just off the 192, on the "27", which is handy for north / south journeys (tip: visit Lake Louisa State Park, 20 mins north on the 27, for some "real Florida" - it's brilliant). Anyway, onto the villa; communications with the owner, when needed, were good, and when I had to call the management company out (previous tenants hadn't reset the main TV, so it didn't work) they were prompt , courteous and sorted the problem quickly. The only other downside, that we had noted from previous reviews, was that the cleaning could've been better - window frames, behind TV and in wardrobes. Also, I don't think it'd been rented out recently, as there was a slightly musty smell when we arrived. Soon sorted that out though, and enjoyed the villa enormously. There's one big living area, with kitchen / dining area adjoining, and access to the pool, which has great views of over a lake / pond (with resident alligator when we were there!) and conservation area. Downstairs is completed by a WC, laundry room and converted garage (pool, table tennis, darts etc). The upstairs is very roomy - extra space over the garage - with two large double bedrooms (one en-suite) and two more twin bedded rooms, plus a communal bathroom. The estate is very quiet, other than the constant droning of all the airconditioning units (but that's Florida I suppose), and the clubhouse and pool was good.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay :)
