Make a holiday apartment in Charter Club your home away from home

With their beautiful beach setting, holiday apartments at the Charter Club of Marco Beach introduce you to the dynamic but stress-free world of Florida beachfront living. HomeAway's rentals at Charter Club are ideally placed to exploit all the activities Marco Island's unique environment provides. Great shopping and restaurants are within easy walking distance, and Charter Club holiday accommodation is also convenient for yacht hire, tennis instruction, poolside recreation, and of course, the beach. Most Charter Club villas and apartments have air-conditioning, and are fully equipped with washer/dryer and dishwasher to cut down on chores, while satellite or cable television can provide entertainment in the evenings.

Things to do

-Watersports: With the sea on one side and the Everglades on the other, there's no shortage of watersports to engage in during your stay at Charter Club rentals, from airboat rides and nature watching to water skiing and parascending. Keen fishermen and sailors are spoiled for choice with the island's many marinas.

-Golf: Naples is just to the north of Marco Island, and is often titled 'The Golf Capital of the World' for good reason: over 80 courses are available in the area, and with Florida's agreeable weather, you'll discover some of the best golfing to be found anywhere.

-Shopping: Marco Island has a wealthy, mature population demographic, which means, of course, great shopping. There's are several shopping hubs to explore, with the Marco Town Centre Mall offering the largest range, especially when you factor in the adjacent Heritage Square and Island Plaza Malls.

-Nightlife: The nightlife on Marco Island is typically laid back and somewhat refined, though the malls, such as Marco Walk Shopping Centre (adjacent to Charter Club) and the Marco Town Centre Mall, offer dining and drinking options quite beyond the usual food court fare. There are also quite a few more isolated establishments across the island, typically with a beachfront ambience.

-Beaches: You're spoiled for choice when it comes to beaches, and the beaches on Marco Island are among the best in the world. Charter Chub, of course, fronts right onto the snow-white sand, giving you the choice between lounging in the exquisite pool area or on the beach itself.

Weather in Charter Club

Florida is all about the year-round sunshine, and Marco Island is no different. Short warm winters and long hot summers characterise this humid subtropical climate. Precipitation is only really expected during the summer, when heavy rain falls in short thunderstorms, which works just as well to cool you down as it does to keep the flora lush. Temperatures can reach the mid-30°C mark in the summer, which isn't intolerable, but the winter temperatures of highs in the low-20°C are what keep people coming back for more.

Travel to Charter Club

The nearest international airport is Southwest Florida at 47 miles away. However, Miami International Airport, 120 miles away, has the advantage of direct flights to Europe; and a 120 mile drive in America is practically a work commute, thanks to the tremendously efficient road system. So fly/drive is certainly the most convenient way to go. Public transport is virtually non-existent, but there is a Greyhound station in nearby Naples.
