This host was very nice, always helpful and easily reached by email. The apartment was clean and had space enough for 4 of us. (Suggestion for the ladies, there is only one light in the bathroom and some of us struggled with makeup. Not a big deal I just might suggest bringing a small vanity mirror or light.) I will say that the location was a bit farther away from some of the major attractions than we thought. The walk to the subway station is easy but plan ahead - the subway transit will take around 30 to 45 minutes depending on which part of the city you are trying to see. That being said, what you lose in time you gain in value, because this was a very budget friendly option.

We stayed at Chauncey House for 5 nights for a girly getaway. It was our first time in New York and we loved the Brooklyn neighbourhood. Some great places to eat brunch nearby (recommend Saraghina and Brunswick) and the subway very close- 2 min walk away. The flat has everything you need and the touch key pad easy to use to come and go. Lovely beautifully made beds to come back and sink into after a long day sightseeing/shopping and quality fluffy towels. Nina and Marlen were great at communicating at each stage. The deposit was paid back within days of me coming home. There is a house being built next door so there was some noise in the morning from the builders, but we were getting up early to make the most of the day-so would just say bring earplugs if you like a lie in and you will be fine-this shouldn't be a reason not to stay, just through would mention. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and would stay here again. Thank you Nina and Marlen!
