  • The Palms is great but NOT Unit #408
    4 of 5

The Palms is great but NOT this unit! One bedroom has one window and the other has two windows, but they all open into the interior hallway in the building, right outside the elevator. Very poor design! So, the blinds are always closed and with only a small bed side lamp and no overhead light, it was very, very dark all day. Then, with only very inexpensive blinds, no black out curtains and the very bright, on 24 hours a day, hall lights shining in thru the windows and blinds, it was very bright all night. I did not get a good night's sleep the entire time I was there. So, if you like your sleep and you like to sleep in a dark room, this is NOT the unit for you! Most likely any unit ending in an 8 has the same layout. We stayed at The Palms last year in Unit #307 and the layout was much more to our liking! We will go back next year but will definitely not rent any unit ending in 8 but will try for a 7 again. Otherwise I highly recommend The Palms!! The location and property are perfect for us.

the red tide is the only thing that made the stay miserable. the accommodations were fine, towels were easily accessible, the cottage was clean, everything worked fine. the internet was less than desirable but did work intermittently, everything was easily accessible. great location. loved the fire pit.
