Lovely summer hideaway

5 of 5
We had a lovely time at Top Lodge Cottage which is delightfully secluded yet easy to access from Stow. The house has every amenity you could want, the use of the swimming pool was a godsend, and the hosts were extremely kind and friendly. We hope to return!

Perfect property in a beautiful location

5 of 5
My wife and I stayed at Sweetheart Cottage for 3 nights and it could not have been better. The communication prior to arrival, with Valerie, was straightforward. On arrival, we found everything to be as expected, only better. Going into this beautiful cottage there was a welcome pack there for us which was just amazing. Lot's of thought had been put into making our stay as good as it could possibly be. The welcome pack contained freshly baked crusty bread, fresh milk, locally sourced honey, Cotswold butter, pasta and sauce, olive oil, and even a bottle of wine, amongst other things! The property is immaculately clean, with a kitchen fitted and provided with all the facilities and equipment needed for a longer stay than ours. A wood burner in the living room is there to be used if needed along with panel heaters, again, if needed. There is ample seating, a TV, radio and plenty of books and games should you need them. The bathroom is well fitted with modern fittings that have been chosen to fit and work well with this traditional cottage. There were ample pillows and bedding with adequate storage space in the wardrobe. Swalcliffe is a very small hamlet and as such, any visitor may want to explore further afield. Swalcliffe is an ideal base to stay as it's close to many tourist hot spots that are well worth a visit. Bourton on the Water is not far away and is well worth a visit! We could not fault our stay at Sweetheart Cottage in any way. Great value, great service and just a great place to stay.
