Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings.

4 of 5
Stayed here for a week in September, lovely small cottage in the deep countryside. The lanes around here are like a maze. Very clean well looked after property, looking at the visitor book it gets alot of use, so it must be hard to keep it looking good. The bed was comfy, if on the small side, we are used to kingsize. The bathroom is adequate, with a shower over the bath and plenty of very hot water. The outside space is very nice, we had breakfast outside most mornings and we were joined by the Long Tailed Tits. The kitchen has a few shortcomings for a property of this price. We found ourselves using the diswasher nearly everday due to lack of plates and cups, the utensils are basic and sadly lacking in quality, however it didn't spoil our holiday. The owners were friendly and live on site, they do go past your house most days to get to the vineyard, but they don't bother you and most of the time we didn't know they were there. Overall I would recommend this cottage, if you like the deep countryside, yet its only 2 or 3 miles into the lovely city of Wells, this is perfect. I'm only giving it four stars, because I feel that for nearly £600 in mid September I expect better equipment and a bigger bed!!
