Other houses and gardens in the immediate area include Montacute House and Stourhead House. Longleat with its animal park is just about 20 miles away.

-The Discworld Emporium is the ultimate tribute to Terry Prachett’s fantasy novels. Wincanton is actually twinned with Ankh-Morpork, one of the Discworld worlds and it’s the only place in the world where visitors can buy all the books, as well as a selection of limited edition jewellery and prints. Book in advance to ensure entry.
