Ideal Base

5 of 5
We stayed whilst attending a family wedding nearby. The cottage was an ideal base, and a haven of peace away from the wedding venue! The cottage is well equipped and comfortable and, although potentially difficult, we never had a problem with parking in the narrow roads. We definitely aim to return in due course and make more of its lovely location.

A lovely cottage in a lovely, quiet location in easy walking distance from the village of Widecombe

5 of 5
This cottage is an absolutely ideal place from which to base a holiday on the Moor. Apart from Widecombe being one of the loveliest and friendliest villages on Dartmoor, the cottage itself is extremely well appointed - lots of thoughtful touches in the way it is designed and appointed. A 10 minute, easy going walk to village with its 2 pubs and shop. And if the weather is bad, how nice to load the wood burner with logs provided by the owners and sit in front of the fire. We had a very, very enjoyable stay.
