very lovely cottage stunning peaceful location lots of wildlife and great walks very warm welcome by Ellie with a cake ideal location for long walks no need to use the car but towns just short drive away can warmly recommend this cottage
We spent 6 nights at Mill Cottage and had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage is tooked away down a little lane in the centre of Ludlow. When you go through the gate into the little courtyard & open the front door you find a gem of a cottage.
The cottage was very clean & we could see it was well maintained. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is very well equipped and everything is of good quality. We loved the quirkiness of the cottage and its surrounding area. The only minor thing was, we couldn't find the ironing board when wanted to give an article of clothing a quick iron but it wasn't really an issue.
From the moment we arrived we felt very relaxed in the cottage and the welcone pack was a very nice touch. Considering you are in the heart of Ludlow it was very quiet and it was only the Saturday night that we heard some noise from the pub on Pepper Lane but again this was only minor as we had 5 nights of no noise what so ever. Although there is no parking at the cottage we were able to drive into Pepper Lane and unload before we moved the car to the near by carpark. We did not feel there was any hassle having to do this. The carpark is only about 3 mins walk from the cottage and as long as you park in zone B it is very cheap. We established you could pay for parking online with only a 10p admin fee, which was great.
Contact with Tim prier to our stay was very good and he answered our queries in a very timely manner.
Ludlow is a lovely town which we have visited on previous occasions. There are lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Plenty of places to eat and some interesting shops. Literally a few minutes walking distance from the cottage there is an Aldi and Tesco but also some lovely bakeries, butchers and delis.
The cottage is also well placed as a base for exploring Shropshire.
If we decide to holiday again in the area we would definitely book Mill Cottage again.
