A fantastic seaside retreat! Wonderful sea views.

Arriving on a wet and windy evening, I was greeted by the lovely Wendy (housekeeper) who made me feel immediately at home as she showed me into the warm and inviting flat. The place has a wonderful, modern yet somehow retro vibe and I was very happy to stay here and was sad when it was time to return to reality! I would definitely book Seaview Terrace again, if only for the amazing sea view from the window!

                      8 Sea View Terrace Margate Kent 28 December - 3 January 2017

                      5 of 5
The house was beautifully appointed and we were impressed by its spaciousness. We were staying there over New Year so it was lovely to see that Christmas decorations were up as I was expecting to do that myself. All the necessary accoutrements were supplied in more than enough quantities and were of good quality. The semi basement two bed apartment was a perfect arrangement for my daughter and her husband and two children with its own sitting room and dining area. The fact that every bedroom had en suite toilet and shower was a real asset, particularly for my son's family with a young baby. There was a cosy feeling to the main sitting room which is on the first floor with an interesting view over the sea. There was plenty of seating but there were only eight adults, two children and a baby in our party. All the rooms were immaculate and drew oohs and aahs as people saw them for the first time! Most of the adults had some knowledge of Margate and we were pleased to see how it's developed. We all enjoyed Dreamland, those who went to the Turner Gallery came back with great photos and our regret was that we didn't see the Shell Grotto. We had gone to Margate specifically for the pantomime and we were impressed by the old theatre it was in. Parking was difficult in the town but we were normally alright outside the house. The position of the house in the town meant we could walk to all the places we wanted to go if the weather was alright. We also went to The Walpole Hotel for tea. I had been there before and was pleased that all my guests were delighted by it. It was all a celebration for my 70th birthday so we had lunch at The Ambrette in the old town on New Year's Day and the food was superb. I would recommend the house to friends but a lot of them already live in that area so they're unlikely to need to stay there! From: Susan Lamb

I DO LOVE TO BE BESIDE THE SEASIDE

                      5 of 5
The flat is delightful with everything you could need. We were well looked after by Chris who let us in and showed us around. He even carried our bags from the car in the underground parking garage. There was milk and orange juice in the fridge and plenty of tea and coffee in the cupboard. Chris kindly handed us a packet of hobnobs. The gated development is attractive and peaceful. Because of on going developments you cannot get to the beach from the sea facing side. Nevertheless It is very handy for the fantastic beach and tidal pool and of course the railway station and Dreamland? A lot of Margate has seen better days but there are signs of revival. The old town in particular is quirky and fun. The Turner gallery is a must. Also do not forget the gloriously restored Walpole Bay hotel for a cream tea is just a few miles away.
