Lovely period cottage in historical Haworth

5 of 5
We loved our stay at this lovely cottage in Haworth. The cottage was beautifully decorated and was immaculately clean. The location of the cottage is within walking distance of the Main Street of Haworth, which had shops, tea rooms and restaurants. We visited the Bronte museum, took a ride on a steam train, went walking and saw lots of beautiful countryside. We are already planning a return visit and I would definitely recommend this cottage to all my friends.

Gilstead may well not be an obvious choice for a holiday but it is very well located for many well known places of interest, Haworth, Ilkley, Otley, Saltaire, Yorkshire dales and canal walks are all easily accessible from the cottage, as are many other attractions too numerous to mention. There are folders of information in the cottage and useful guides to walks in the area. We know this area well having lived for many years in Baildon and could easily have spent another week visiting old haunts. I have no hesitation recommending this cottage for couples wishing to visit this area. The owners, Mike and Joy live right next door and while you may see them come and go they do not intrude on your privacy but are there to help should you need it. before we started our stay I emailed them with a query and received a very prompt reply.
