Very happy...

5 of 5
...with this lovely little cottage, and its outstanding location. Everything in the house was lovely, comfortable and well-equipped. The view from the front is amazing. It's as well to be aware that there are hills and steps wherever to want to go, it comes with the territory, so if you struggle with mobility bear this in mind. The area is peaceful and the river is stunning. The Saracen's Head is across the river by hand ferry, and we liked it very much there, particularly the food. We also liked Ye Olde Ferrie Inn. Further out, Ye Olde Hostelrie had excellent food. Key to us was the convenience and welcoming of our dog. The cottage had catered for her, and we were delighted to find much of the locale amenable to dogs. Walking by the river was a treat, especially as our dog could go for a dip at various points... getting her to come out was the only problem! We will definitely go back.

A very beautiful cottage in a superb setting.

The cottage was beautifully presented - every comfort and convenience considered. The special touches and Nora and Simon's warm welcome and hospitality were appreciated. Hook a Gate is very convenient for visiting the Shropshire towns, villages and national parks.
