  • Spacious and comfortable accommodation close to City Centre

We enjoyed staying at Bellevue Terrace. It is extremely spacious and well furnished and situated within 15 - 20 minutes walk of the City Centre. There are also a number of restaurants situated very close by if you prefer to eat out. We were somewhat disappointed with the bathroom facilities - there is only a hand shower and no screen or curtain, so it is not easy to shower without spraying the surrounds. We would suggest a screen and bracket to hold the shower head which itself could also be updated. It also got a little chilly and there is no way we could find of turning on/turning up the heating outside of the fixed time it appeared to come on. It's a big area with high ceilings so we found it a little bit uncomfortable in the mornings especially. Water pressure in the kitchen is very low and sink taps in the bathroom have to be turned several times to get the water to flow. Toilet cistern takes quite a while to re-fill. Overall, we liked the apartment and are sure that the things mentioned above could be relatively easily fixed to provide an even better experience. David and Marie

  • Spacious and Stylish

My partner and I visited Edinburgh for the first time in September 2018 and stayed at Rodney Street, and we had a great time. The flat is spacious (HUGE for just two of us) and stylish – very practical and comfortable, and with fun decor! We loved settling into the flat after our 5-hour drive and it was very easy to feel relaxed. The local area is very quiet and it was wonderful to stay somewhere with on-site parking, which removed a possible worry. Our host Martin was extremely kind and helpful and would always reply to emails/messages quickly both before and during the stay. The flat was clean and had everything we needed – hairdryer, iron, kettle, toaster – and even teabags! Old Town is a 30 minute walk away (uphill!), but Edinburgh is laid out logically so once you’ve done it a few times, you know where you’re going. The walk also allows you to explore the local area on the way which has lots of interesting shops, restaurants and bars. Whilst in Edinburgh we visited Edinburgh Castle, Camera Obscura, Surgeon’s Hall Museums, Dunnottar Castle (2 hours away), and the National Museum of Scotland. But we also enjoyed staying in one evening and watching a film on the comfy sofa in the lovely flat! We would definitely use a vacation rental again as we liked having the privacy of having the entire place to ourselves, but also the comfort and convenience of a literal home-from-home.
