  • Fantastic modern barn in a great location.

Recently stayed for the weekend with my wife, one year old and dog. The decor and facilities at the barn are fantastic, the small touches such as home made flapjacks waiting for us on arrival and fresh eggs and milk in the fridge made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped and offered everything you’d need for a self catering stay. We took Karen and Jon up on the offer of a 3 course meal on one of the evenings and we were not disappointed, it was delicious and something we’ll definitely return for, our only regret was not having a supper option the other evening of our stay! Our dog loved exploring the garden and it was worry free for us as it is secure. It’s in a lovely quiet area but only a short drive to many great places to explore in Pembrokeshire. The information pack at the barn is very useful and gives lots of great tips on local restaurants and pubs and places to visit/dog walks. Our stay was cut short due to our son being poorly but we look forward to planning another stay in the new year so that we can explore some more of the many dog walks locally as we didn’t get chance to do as many as we’d have liked this time around.

We were very comfortable, the house is spacious for two. We enjoyed walks on the coast path and to Dylan's Thomas's house nearby in Laugherne. We also enjoyed a nice meal out at the Portreeve restaurant. We are looking forward to a return visit to Little Avalon!
