PERFECT

5 of 5
My husband, sister, and 8-month old daughter were looking for something comfortable and quiet, as well as close to the TO DOs. I truly feel like we couldn't have done better with Alison's place. I look at the pics now and I actually miss it. We were mere minutes away from Windermere and Ambleside, still far enough out of the rush but didn't feel isolated at all. Alison couldn't have been more amazing; responsive and left us a little box of chocolates (and wine!) for our arrival, which was needed! Internally, the house is spacious, and warm, beds are comfy and shower is great. There's a small shop in reception that offers everything 'additional' you might need, and the local pub offers excellent atmosphere and good food. As a bonus, on our last night the sky was completely clear and the stars were out in full. As I'm from middle America living in Birmingham, this is something I dearly miss and this was such a treat. I really can't wait to visit again.
