Weather in Swaledale

Instead, the average temperature in the summer is about 15 degrees. The winter averages are between 1 and 5 degrees. While rainfall is less than in other areas, it is still a good idea to bring some rain gear because over 50 mm falls each month.

Fantastic break away

5 of 5
Sean and his family couldn’t have done enough to make our stay any more welcoming. The place itself is amazing and pictures don’t do it any justice. The surroundings are peaceful and just want was needed to get away from the hectic lifestyle of everyday life! Breakfast being included was an added bonus and was of great quality Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family

Quiet, lovely location. Comfortable cottage with everything you need.

5 of 5
We had a lovely stay in Charlie's Stable, it is a short walk from the green and is nestled alongside the beck. Being set back from the main green it is really peaceful. Everything we needed for a comfortable few days was there, ample tea, coffee and biscuits and some delicious fresh eggs from Rose's hens. Kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom has a shower and a bath. There is a shared laundry room which was great. It's so handy to find a cottage accepting of two dogs, our two whippets enjoyed their stay too. There are lots of beautiful walks on the doorstep. The ice cream parlour is a must! Make sure if you want to eat out on a Friday night in August, you book into one of the pubs in advance, it can get very busy! Overall a fabulous stay, we loved Charlie's Stable!
