Waters End Farm lies in a wonderful surrounding. Starting point for long walks or just to roam around the beautiful farm. The dog was very happy about his own garden and a lake to swim. Jill and Maurice are fantastic hosts. We felt very well there. Sure we´ll come back. Inge and Peter

When we arrived we were welcomed with a delicious homemade tea and bread. The property is very well equipped and the quality of all furnishings, kitchen equipment, bed linen etc was excellent. We cooked a lot so it was a bonus to have such good equipment in the kitchen. The property was very clean and well maintained. We felt very welcomed by Jill - the comments on her website reflected her friendliness, even before we arrived! The space outside the French windows was wonderful for our boys to play and run in and being able to walk down to the lakes was a lovely way to end the day. We also enjoyed the company of visiting hens and Lilly the small dog, who inadvertently spent longer with us one evening than intended! We would thoroughly recommend Waters End.

We all had a great time at Little Bucksteep Oast. The location is very good for visiting the many attractions that East Sussex and Kent have to offer. Brighton, Lewes, Hastings, Battle, Rye, Camber sands and many more are within easy reach from LBO and yet LBO is in a very peaceful location. LBO is surrounded by beautiful gardens which are in themselves set in rural surroundings. The property itself is a converted oast mostly dating back several hundred years however it has a modern feel to it. Two of the three bedrooms are located in the 'oast'. One is a double in a very generously sized room and the other is located upstairs towards the top of the oast and contains the most enormous 4 poster bed I have ever seen! It felt as though I needed to text my wife to check to see if she was in the other side of the bed! I would however like to point out that in my 30 years of marriage holiday beds have tended to be a bit of a let down in terms of comfort on my wife's part. Not this bed at LBO! 'One of the most comfortable ever' according to my dearly beloved! The third bedroom is located off a landing as you go up to the top bedroom. This is a delightful twin (+1) room which floods with light from 3 windows. Back downstairs there is a large sitting room in the main part of the old oast. This is complete with log burner and I would think would be al lovely cosy room on a cold evening (we were blessed by good weather so didn't have the need to test this out!). Past the lounge there is a really good shower room (upstairs there is a modern bathroom with shower over bath) and a utility area with washing machine. This then leads through into a great kitchen/ dining/living space where we spent most of our evening time (when not outdoors). This is a superb space for gathering to eat, talk, play games etc. The kitchen has everything you could need (including dishwasher!) and the dining table could easily seat 10 or more around it. The sitting area is comfortable and overlooks patio and gardens. Outside the 3 burner gas BBQ was well used (there is also a traditional Weber charcoal type of BBQ if this is your preference) and of course the tennis court and swimming pool. Overall a great time was had by all. Our group was 2 x 53yrs, 2 x 21 yrs and 2 x 18yrs but I would think all age ranges could enjoy a stay at LBO. Our only disappointment was that we could only be there for 1 week - you really need more! PS Nearly forgot the 2 lovely Dalmations and the cat!
