  • Wonderful cosy Christmas in lovely Tenbury
    5 of 5

On arrival we found Dr Field and her daughter had provided a bottle of their delicious apple juice and some really tasty homemade tomato chutney, it was much appreciated! I was very worried that my daughter and granddaughters coming from Australia to spend Xmas would not be warm enough but the cottage was very cosy. Because of my concerns the owner kindly provided 2 extra heaters but we only used them once when we were too lazy to light the wood burner. Although some of the furnishings are a bit worn, the beds were very comfy, the cooker coped well for the Xmas dinner (not always the case when away from home) the phone signal is poor but if you link your phone to the Wi-fi signal this solves the problem for the most part. The cottage is very reasonably priced especially at this time of year and my granddaughters loved it, it didn’t provide the snow they wanted, but they were amazed by a beautiful frosty morning. Tenbury is a lovely town, we all enjoyed the panto at the Regal, the volunteer staff were so friendly, the Spotty Dog for hot chocolate and we particularly liked the Rose & Crown for its cosy atmosphere and good food. My daughter was keen to have a decent curry before returning to Oz and the Bahar restaurant provided this to her satisfaction indeed one of our visitors said their biryani was the best he had ever tasted. For such a small town Tenbury has so many good places to eat. Further afield we went on the Santa Special at the Severn Valley Railway and to the cloisters at Worcester Cathedral to see the 100 decorated Xmas trees, both really magical. A lovely time was had by all!

  • Fantastic two bed cottage in Ludlow
    5 of 5

We had a short break in Ludlow between Christmas 2018 and New Year, and this 2 bed cottage was perfect for what we needed. Really well presented and spotlessly clean throughout. All exactly as described in the owners property overview. Also, everything all worked perfectly. The cottage looks quite small on the outside, but is like a Tardis, with really clever use of all the space on the inside! The garden also looked as though it would be really nice come Spring Parking outside is limited to two hours, but there is a council car park 2 minutes away which is only 2.40 per day, which is useful in ludlow as parking can be difficult. Would definitely recommend Ludlow for a visit, and certainly highly reccomend Emily Mews Cottage to stay in. We loved it😀
