A beautiful house in a beautiful location! We couldn't have been happier on our arrival at 'Long Commons' and our week there didn't disappoint. A perfect base from which to explore St Mawes & the surrounding area though we were reluctant to leave the house as it is so amazing, with views that we wish we could wake up to every day! Being able to walk down into St Mawes meant we didn't even get in the cars for three days. There are so many lovely places to eat, a few pretty shops, a little supermarket that has all the essentials plus visiting Falmouth & other locations along the Fal estuary by boat is a unique & fun way to travel! Long Commons has everything you could possibly need and the little extras like milk, biscuits & a bottle of wine on our arrival were lovely touches & very much appreciated. The addition of an external staircase from the living area down to the garden would only enhance the property, as having to go through a bedroom to access the rear garden was a bit of a pain, especially with two dogs but this would not prevent us from returning as it is outweighed by so many wonderful features!!! We hope to return to this beautiful house, thank you for a very special holiday :) xxx

This was our first week staying at Upper Tresulian, but it will not be our last, in fact we've already booked for next year! The location within St Mawes is perfect. Although accessing the property requires a brief walk up the hill together with a short flight of steps, it means the views are second to none, and the layout of the property certainly makes the most of it with a picture postcard view in all directions! The apartment is finished to a high specification with excellent attention to detail, and the ice-making facility in the large fridge freezer was put to good use last week when we were lucky enough to have superb weather. The only thing not provided are hand towels, so make sure you pack some. Leslie and Paula provide a very warm welcome, ably assisted by 'the boys' Alfie and Buddy who are real characters, and we're already looking forward to seeing them again next year!

The difficulty for our family was that we could not take our small clean housetrained dog. He is one of the family and we will not leave him in kennels . This makes going on holiday anywhere hard work as we have to lodge him with friends or family whose good will we have now exhausted . For this reason we will not be coming back to Fiddlers Green. We have been twice in high season and would like to book another week this year for next as apart from Rover we have been happy there.
