Make a holiday cottage in St. Austell your home away from home

Tucked away in the Cornish countryside behind a crescent-shaped bay lies St. Austell. As one of the largest towns in Cornwall, St. Austell naturally attracts tourists from all corners of the UK and beyond. In addition to its wealth of convenient amenities and holiday accommodation, the town is within striking distance of beautiful beaches, golf courses, and the Eden Project, Cornwall’s most visited attraction. In light of everything St. Austell has to offer, its accommodation rivals that of surf haven Newquay as one of the top holiday destinations in Cornwall.

HomeAway has an impressive selection of holiday cottages in St. Austell that are well suited for a couple’s retreat, family or group holiday. Most apartments have two to three bedrooms and can accommodate up to six guests at a time. Many are located within a short distance of the coast, whilst others offer convenient amenities such as Wi-Fi, satellite television, and a pool. St. Austell holiday homes offer that perfect combination of accommodation in a well-facilitated, urban setting with immediate access to glorious countryside and coasts.

Things to do

The 18-hole course at Porthpean is perched above St. Austell Bay and offers pay-as-you-go green fees.

Pentewan Beach in the popular village of the same name is a popular destination for swimming, surfing, windsurfing and canoeing. Watersports fans might consider holiday cottages in Pentewan, to be closer to the action. Porthpean Beach, which lies adjacent to Porthpean Golf Club, is well suited for families thanks to its calm waves and broad strip of sand. Holidaymakers with dogs will want to visit Par Sands Beach, which welcomes dogs year-round.

Stunning property that was spacious and well equipped.

Many thanks to Paul and Yvette for the welcome box...the clotted cream and scones went down a treat at the end of such a long journey. We found Par an excellent point to explore the south and west coast's and very convenient for the Eden Project.

The most comfortable cottage in a perfect location!

5 of 5
This is our second visit to Sunnyside cottage. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Charlestown. It has character and in a perfect location. Walking distance to various eateries & hostelries! ..& of course so close to the wonderful harbour. This year we were lucky to even see a little of Poldark filming. We had trips out to Mevagissey, Truro & St Austell & a shopping trip to the Cornicopia Cornish indoor market. We met the owner Amanda who was lovely and welcoming. Can't wait to return!
