Enjoy the winding Devonshire coast with holiday cottages in South Hams

South Hams is a large area in Devon which is comprised of a number of small villages. Stretching around the coast line from the edges of Plymouth and Brixham up to the border of Dartmoor National Park, it comprises a total area of 342 square miles. With a history dating back to Anglo-Saxon times and a strong naval feel, the area is a huge draw for visitors eager to sample the sea air, the many attractions and the walking environment on offer. There is also a large culture scene throughout South Hams and many food and drink festivals take place here throughout the year.

HomeAway has a vast number of holiday cottages in South Hams, which are spread throughout the whole area within easy access of amenities and attractions. Suitable for guest groups of all sizes from couples and small families to far larger groups of ten or more people, there is a wealth of choice on offer. Traditional cottages, seaside homes and rustic barns include inviting bedrooms and spacious open plan kitchens kitted out with dishwashers and laundry facilities. Many cottages have their own private gardens where the wonderful scenery of the Devonshire coast can be appreciated, and some of the more luxurious holiday homes even feature tennis courts and swimming pools. Children and pets are welcomed in certain cottages, whilst parking is available throughout.

From holiday homes in Bournemouth, the delightful beaches and towns which make up the Dorset coastline can be enjoyed. Meanwhile, for visitors looking for a city break, choosing an apartment in the centre of London provides the ultimate experience of the English capital.

Good caravan and park

4 of 5
It is a nice caravan in a nice park. The beach where you can walk dogs is about 10 minutes walk away. Great for walks along the coast.

What a fantastic place to stay and have a peaceful holiday.

5 of 5
As soon as we arrived we were met by the owners with freshly baked scones, jam and cream, they had even gone to the trouble to make sure we could make a cup of tea or coffee by placing a pint of milk in the fridge. After we had chatted for a while we were shown all of the things we needed to know about the property and were informed of local interest`s including the local beach which was the best beach I have come across in the UK. The property was decorated to a very high standard and extremely clean, with very comfortable beds. It is very clear that owners really care that you have a good holiday, sadly we were only there for a week but wished it was longer, we hope to visit Annette and Barry again as soon as possible.
