Perfect Peak Disrtrict Stay!

5 of 5
We stayed over Easter weekend with friends. Fantastic house, beautifully kept with all the little extras. The heated flooring was a massive hit with the kids and adults! The owners obviously have thought of all the things you might need and the cupboards were well stocked. Parking is ok but the road is quite narrow. We did a fantastic walk over Black Rock and also a trip to Bakewell. Wirksworth itself was a short walk via the fields which was very pleasant. From a practical side we did have a Waitrose food delivery which was handy, Spencer's the bakery in town was well worth a visit. Overall we had a great weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the house but also the beautiful setting.

most beautiful place we have ever stayed

5 of 5
The cottage was absolutely lovely in the most beautiful location, with close views of Thorpe Cloud and the surrounding hills. Secluded and tucked away and yet only a couple of miles from the town of Ashbourne. We will certainly be returning next year, as there is so much to do and see in this picturesque area. Chickens come and visit the garden, ewes with lambs just over the stone wall, rabbits and lots of birds too. If you love nature and peaceful surroundings this is the place to come. We used the private heated swimming pool every day at least once, which has a jacuzzi , shower and toilet and relaxing loungers. A real bonus. To us it's by far the nicest cottage and location we have ever stayed in, and by the way we do travel a lot, but it's outstanding and it's got everything. Thank you Ray and Julie for letting us stay, we promise to see you again.
