A wonderful get away

4 of 5
An ideal, clean ,well appointed house with everything one might need. A short walk from the centre of Skipton with all of its attractions and an easy drive to anywhere in the Yorkshire Dales. We'll be back (I hope)

great cottage on the outskirts of the village - only downside parking

4 of 5
For our active (cycling) holiday this was the perfect location. The cottage had the essential facilities for our stay and ride (similarly walks) brought you quickly onto the moor or down to the canal. Supermarket delivery worked well too (Tesco in our case). The Busfeild Arms (less than 0.5mile/1Km) was a welcome stop on the return trip! Parking was difficult because of the steep drive however, for us once the car was parked that was it - others may find this more difficult (although it is possible to park on the road nearby). We met a number of very friendly locals that added to the pleasure of the stay. The wine was a nice touch. For those with a fear of loosing connectivity the 4G (Vodaphone) signal is superb - the mast being a 100yards/metres up the road.
