Home from home!

5 of 5
We have had three enjoyable stays at the cottage during the winter months and will certainly return in the future. The booking process is simple and straight forward by phone or online with a fast response from the Owner. Old Hundredth is well presented and always very clean, warm and cosy. It's located in a lovely village with an excellent pub serving good meals on one side and an ancient and popular church on the other side. The cottage is near to local beaches and walks, and the shops are not too far away by car.

Well maintained and excellent facilities

5 of 5
Just arrived home from our stay at "The Beach House " and would like to say what a lovely, clean and well maintained property. We have rented numerous properties before and it was quite refreshing to find that everything actually worked to its full potential. Showers good, all kitchen appliances were spotlessly clean and were excellent, as was everything else in the house. We all had a wonderful stay, including (Alf) the dog.I think he thought and died and gone to heaven although I think the stairs were quite a struggle for the old boy, and us 2 bungalow dwellers , if I'm honest. Fennigook Pub worth a visit for some decent food and friendly atmosphere. The only down point for me personally, was the size of the bed in the en-suite room. I found it a little small for the two of us ( although very comfortable) it could do with being a little bigger. I would say a very enjoyable stay with the grand children and co.

Wonderful holiday home in a superb location

5 of 5
We stayed here for 3 weeks and certainly could have stayed longer. The property is a home from home with all the amenities you could wish for. I'm not sure there is a better location in all of Cornwall, we loved hearing the crashing waves and the proximity to the beach and the coastal walks were great. Polperro is a lively village and although we were there very much out of season there were pubs and some shops open. Couch's restaurant has a great tasting menu and the Blue Peter inn was very friendly and cosy. Take away fish and chips from the 3 Pilchards not to be missed. Further afield there are great places to visit in under an hour : Eden Project, lost garden of Heligan, Fowey (do try the ferry!) and Padstow (great restaurants) to name a few. We went to quite a few beaches with the dog, Constantine near Padstow was our favourite, however nearer Par was good to exercise the dog and Polkerris with Sams on the Beach was lovely. The owner Deborah could not have been a better host and the house keepers Tracey and Carl were brilliant This will definitely be our next stop in Cornwall again, if it's not booked up!
