I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. It is small but extremely well equipped, sylish and beautifully decorated. I loved the various pieces of pottery and art work dotted around the rooms and stairway along with the books many of which related to the area. The owner provides extensive information regarding local attractions. The WiFi works perfectly and there is a very good selection of t.v. stations. It feels like a home rather than a holiday let. Although small, the very creative and clever use of space means it doesn't feel cramped or cluttered. Both bedrooms have double beds and are comfortable however the upper room (with the wonderful view) would be difficult to access for anyone with mobility issues and with it's very low beams is not for the fainthearted The bathroom is imaginatively decorated and a good size. The terrace at the back is lovely and I enjoyed breakfast in the sun there on a couple of mornings. It is an ideal base from which to explore the area, especially as there is convenient access to the main A30 dual carriageway. The cottage is next door to a pub but I only heard noise from there on my last night, a Friday which in fairness is usually a busy night in most pubs. Madron is a very quiet village and you will need to bring any foodstuffs you require with you. The nearest shop is in the neighbouring village of Heamoor which you will pass through if coming from the Penzance direction. I shopped on my way from the airport but I would happily have paid a few extra pounds if a hamper with the bare essentials was provided. The only small reservation I have is with regard to parking. Parking seems to be problematical in Madron. You will more than likely have to park near the church. It's not too far away but be prepared to carry luggage and shopping to the cottage. However that is not the owners fault and I soon realised that the same problem arises in villages all over Cornwall. I travelled alone and felt very safe and comfortable in Madron and Pip's Cottage. It's a beautiful place to stay and I hope to return some day and will recommend to family, friends and colleagues.

Fabulous cottage close enough to all places of interest yet far enough to be lovely and peaceful. Cottage is comfy and homely and has everything you could need for a holiday in beautiful Cornwall. The cream tea provided by Julie when you arrived is also a yummy bonus! Would recommend to everyone to take a break there.

It is a comfortable detached building suitable for two with a location close to Penzance. I don't have any complaints at all. There is a small television in the lounge but nothing in the bedroom which some might expect these days but as there is wi-fi available I was able to watch programmes on my tablet. Anyway, Cornwall is a beautiful place and visitors should be out and about whenever possible - not watching T.V. There is an excellent wet room facility, but once used, if you need to use the toilet located in the same room, you do have to remember that the floor will still be wet. That's about it - I would stay again.
