Perfect house in a idyllic location

5 of 5
We stayed at Bacons for a summer weekend in July 2018, and it really felt like a home away from home. There was ample space for the 8 of us, including very comfortable beds and sofas in the living room. The house was well-equipped and super clean - but for us, the real highlight was the beautiful garden and the barbeque! In terms of location, there's a path directly opposite that house that goes straight onto the New Forest moorland and a lovely village pub (complete with ponies when we went!) at the end of the road. There's a good Co-op in Fordingbridge (~10 min drive away). We only wished that we had been able to stay longer, and certainly hope to return. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

The "barn" we stayed in was first class. Lounge/dining/kitchen was spacious and airy, the bedrooms had comfortable beds and the bathrooms were of a high standard and roomy. Unfortunately the picture provided with this review is of a different barn (I didn't have a choice). We had the freedom of the farm to go roaming or we could just walk down the lane and cross the main road to see the ponies of the New Forest. The courtyard is safe for children to play in and the utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, toys for children and DVD's for the family to watch. We will be returning here in the future, sooner than later.
