Superb balcony, wonderful view, great location and careful attention from the owners.

4 of 5
The balcony and its superb view make 'Island Watch' a great holiday venue. The living area on the lower floor is small but just adequate for two. Very squeaky floor boards through the kitchen /lounge area caused us concern for the accommodation below, but the folk staying there were not bothered. The bath room and toilet is on an even smaller scale, but designed well and was fine. We were comfortable and we enjoyed being there. The bedroom on the higher level was more difficult. The information about the venue is clear that the bedroom is an attic/loft room and that was fine, but we found that the only place to stand upright was at the top of the stairs. I am not disabled but at 73 I found that to mount a step of between 18 and 20 inches to reach the drawers and hanging space for clothes was too difficult ..... and not even a rail or handle to grip for assistance! I think it needs a little re- planning. The owners could not have been more welcoming or helpful and the location is excellent.

A fantastic house with beautiful views

5 of 5
We spent a week in Carbis Bay with our two teenage daughters. There was a lot of space for everyone in the house, the garden was beautiful and so were the views from the garden. The house was very close to the sea - and the beach - and the coastal path to St Ives was fantastic and easy to walk. We also experienced many other wonderful places in Cornwall within a short distance from the house. An extra plus was the excellent vegetarian restaurant just a few hundred meters from the property (The Bean Inn). Ulla-Kaisa and Timo (Sweden)
