Great week away with the family

5 of 5
After a very long drive we were welcomed to the cottage with milk, tea, coffee and lovely biscuits, very much needed upon arrival. The cottage was very clean and tidy and has everything you need for your stay. I was a little bit concerned as there were 4 of us going, myself and my wife plus our two children (12 and 13), but only 1 bedroom. It worked very well, the living room has enough space for the two fold out beds and you can shut the door to the kitchen and it very much became a second bedroom during our stay. It was quick and easy to put the beds away in the morning and change it back to a living room. The microwave / oven was not something I have used before but it was easy to use and worked well, with the 4 of us meal times were a little tricky to get the food out together but we still manged to sit and have meals together. I have to say I thought we would have explored more of the area, but when you have Porthcurno a mile away then its difficult to want to travel much further for what is one of the best beaches I have ever been to, not just in the UK. The Minack theatre is next door to the beach and is excellet vale too! We did have a look at a few of the smaller coves close to the cottage (Porthgwarra and Penberth) which were just unbelievable, lots of coastal walks on offer too. The only slight issue we had (not with the cottage) is that most of the beaches don't allow dogs on before 7pm, there is one near Sennen Cove which does. There is a small garden at the cottage and a village green at the end of the road but plenty of local walks and coastal paths if you take the dog (it was too hot most days to take him out during the day anyway). The communication with the owner was quick and easy. Just a great relaxing week, thank you.

Perfect location to explore this part of Cornwall. David en Victoria are perfect hosts and gave us a lot off good information about everthing. Verry quiet place to stay. Highly recommended for nature lovers.
