Perfect cottage, ideal peaceful location

5 of 5
The cottage is perfect. It is old and rustic, but with all modern comforts. It is also very spacious. The kitchen is a good size and very well equipped. The rooms are beautifully and lovingly decorated. We loved the bedroom. It was a calming room and the bed was very comfortable. As artists, we loved the visual touches- the paintings, photographs and textiles. The garden is lovely with a patio and lawn. There are great views to the sea. The location is peaceful. It feels very rural and yet we were a 20- 30 minutes walk from the sea, in all directions, with great beaches and stunning cliff side walks. Without a car, we really appreciated that the bus stop (to Penzance or Lands End) is just 5 minutes away, and there is also a stall with fresh produce. I'd encourage others to try a car free visit. You won't miss it! Claire and Toby were both very friendly amd helpful, but we also appreciated the privacy they gave us. All the info sent in advance is also useful. I can't recommend Raftra Cottage highly enough.

Relaxing week in Mousehole

5 of 5
Had a wonderful relaxing week in Mousehole and loved your little apartment with the beautiful view, saw a few seals as well. Great spot for walking and exploring the coast. Would highly recommend walking to Newlyn for breakfast at Dukes Cafe and picking up some pasties and saffron buns from the bakery for the return journey. Had a fantastic dinner at 2 Fore Street and did some great shopping at Coast. Thank you for a great week.
