Beautiful cottage with great character in fantastic location

5 of 5
From the moment we arrived we absolutely loved this cottage. It has so much charm and character, plus it is very well equipped - all the appliances are new and good quality. The bathroom is great with a really spacious shower and nice bath. It's ideal for a couple or family with young children and although the second bedroom is quite small all the beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of room overall. The little courtyard garden is great for having breakfast on a sunny morning. Winchcombe itself is also lovely and the cottage couldn't be better located. There are 3 good pubs and 2 restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk, plus several cafes/delis. The street this cottage is on is so picturesque that I found a postcard with the cottage itself on it. If you enjoy hiking then, again, this cottage is a great choice. There are three or four good walks out of Winchcombe into the surrounding hills (probably more to be honest!) and two of them go right past the front door - One to Belas Knapp long barrow and one past Sudely Castle. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the Cotswolds - hopefully in winter so we can give the log burner a try!

Great location

4 of 5
Nice, comfortable flat. Good size & very well located, perfect base for cycling around Cheltenham and driving further afield - Forest of Dean & Bristol. Only downside, slightly chilly - we needed the heating in the evenings - in July. Would consider using again if we holiday in this area.
