excellent, better than expected

5 of 5
The lodge was really comfortable with many nice additional touches. We enjoyed the company of the birds and squirrels on the balcony and really enjoyed the hot tub, on one occasion., with gentle hailstones. It was a chance for us to visit old haunts at Kielder, West Woodburn, Bolam lakes and Alwinton, and the location of the lodge was perfect for those visits.

Lovely cottage and stunning location

5 of 5
Braeside is a lovely cottage and well-equipped for a cosy and comfortable stay for our family of four. Great location in a hamlet at the edge of the national park and close to a number of walks. Wooler is within walking distance and has the essentials by way of local amenities. Within easy travelling distance of the coast and other local attractions of Bamburgh Castle, Cragside, and Holy Island. Books, games, DVDs, puzzles and other crafts are available to keep you entertained of an evening. There is also good provision of tourist info, maps and walks. Plenty more to do and worth another visit.
