  • A really cosy country cottage set in the heart of a village
    5 of 5

A friendly, warm, northern welcome by Neil at Oxenholme station set the tenor for the holiday. We loved the cottage on sight, nestled in th heart of the village with the beautiful fells in the background. The cottage had excellent facilities and we wanted for nothing. The weather was beautiful, but cold in the evenings and we really enjoyed relaxing by the log fire. We found The Tardis ideally located and savoured the delights of the many cafes and restaurants which we could walk to from our door. Sedbergh has a lively atmosphere and we enjoyed participating in the Christmas Fair and appreciated the opportunity to hear the local Orchestra’s rehearsal for the Christmas Concert. Neil and Sue were ideal hosts: discreet but available and we valued their local knowledge. We can’t speak highly enough of The Tardis and it’s hosts and would highly recommend it.

  • Absolutely beautiful!

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of November and literally had the most lovely time. The cottage couldn’t have been more perfect. It was warm and cosy with everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was fabulous too of course. It is a bit of a way from things to do but we were quite happy with the cottage and the surroundings anyway. I would definitely recommend to anyone, we will certainly back!
