We had a superb two weeks at Tardis Cottage. It was just a beautiful little house with every amenity you could ever want. Neil and Sue were absolutely marvellous, incredibly friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble either. This is indicative of the Dales as a whole though; friendly and welcoming. The house itself is so cleverly designed that it’s so small but packs everything in. You won’t notice after a while how small it actually is. There’s a kitchen with every device you’d ever need. The bedroom has one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. The lounge area enables just that, you’ll be able to lounge and relax. It’s all just a wonderful place.

North Yorkshire is certainly wild and beautiful with hidden gems like Gunnerside dotted around. A great village with lovely pub and friendly people. The cottage was authentic and in keeping with its age, but had everything we needed. The garden would have been lovely had the weather been coffee outside on the first morning watching the swallows. Great walks on the doorstep and the road over to Askrigg a must.
