First impressions were excellent. A very well equipped property, clean and charming. Although dogs allowed, there was no evidence of ‘dogginess’ other than the bowl! Always a slight concern when booking as a non dog owner. From the time of booking the owners input was excellent with good recommendations of places to visit and local walks. It was good that you could walk to Lakeside and access the boats and train without needing a car. However, Lakeside hotel is quite expensive and there are far better pubs and eateries further afield. The walk to High Dam was well worth it for the scenery and views. The only slight disappointment was that the outside space at the cottage does not receive the late afternoon and early evening sunshine, as this space is the thoroughfare for the end cottage. However, this would not stop us from booking again.

My family and I all enjoyed our stay down here for a week, hot tub is a great bonus and is well maintained. The lodge (caravan) is great with plenty space and is comfy too. Would defo recommend. The food served in the restaurant was top notch with the prices being very reasonable for what's on offer and the lovely setting was a bonus. My only issue is there's not really anything on site for kids, our girls are 9 and kept themselves amused however not all children are like that. Saying that though there's plenty off things to do and attractions within a few miles so wasn't too much of an issue. The whole site is well looked after and all the staff that we encountered were great. Not much more I can say tbh apart from we may very well see you all again soon.
