Amazing place with a fantastic base!

5 of 5
The house is really a home from home and probably better equipped than our own! It is a really lovely family house with plenty of room and lots to keep the children entertained. Very well furnished, tasteful and comfortable with all you need and more, the beds are very comfortable and there are two showers and a bath. The house itself is in a perfect location, just 3 minutes walk to the harbour at Mevagissey (great for crabbing and great museum in season), with lots of lovely pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend The Fountain for Sunday lunch and also the Mevagissey Male Voice Choir who sing there on a Monday. The Ship Inn is also a lovely quaint pub. We went out to a couple of the local beaches (Charlestown and Carlyon Bay), The Eden Project was great for all ages and also The Lost Gardens of Heligan which has a great farm shop too. We easily managed to fill a week, and in February! Thanks for a fab stay - we will definitely be back!

Exceptional house with parking and wonderful views

5 of 5
We have been staying at The Boatmans 2-3 times a year for the past 3 years. We watched the development during its construction and sooo excited when I found the house was available. Right beside the museum, the Boatmans works perfectly for us two couples all in our 60's. Meva has become like our second home. The downstairs is almost a self contained apartment. In the middle of the house is the lounge with terrace overlooking the harbour. Upstairs a beautiful en-suite double with French Windows and another fantastic view. Also a third twin ensuite. The house is always full of light and has wonderfully warm under floor heating during fierce Cornwall winters. We park the two cars never get bored with the easy level walk into Meva for all the restaurants and pubs. But perhaps the best bit is sitting on the bench outside the Sharksfin just watching the boats and fishermen with a pasty or ice cream.

Cannot wait to visit again

5 of 5
We frequently stay in the Boatmans which is also owned and managed by The Williams family. During our last vist we were able to pop into Saltings and just have a browse round. As we sometimes come down without our pals a smaller property would suit just the two of us. The property had the same classy and attractive appeal we are used to on the other side of the Harbour....with more superb views. You really are right in the village and yet able to watch the boats coming in and unloading. It's a wonderful working village and though I have yet to stay in the Saltings I recognise the care and attention the owners have lavished on the finish and furnishings. Both properties are luxurious and the owners genuinely want their guests to feel cared for and welcom.
