                                    Lovely Cottage, Ideal Location

                                    5 of 5
The cottage was ideally located a few minutes from the village shop and two pubs. The shop is open every day until 8pm and it has most things but if you want fresh meat you would have to go to Inverbervie. The shop also gives cashback which is useful as there is no cash machine in the village. It has a garden which was lovely when the sun shined. It was big enough to accommodate 6 people with a sofa bed in the living room. One of the rooms has bunk beds. The cottage was clean, modern and and well maintained. The only thing missing was a corkscrew. The cottage is ideally located for the coastal walk to Inverbervie. Stop off at the Harbour Bar in Gourdon which was friendly. The Anchor Pub was really good for food but you do have to book a table as it gets very busy. The Ship Pub was very friendly so I would recommend you call in there for a drink. One little problem was we were supposed to be met on arrival but due to unforeseen circumstances we were not met but the key was left for us. We had a slight hitch as we could not get the heating to work in the living room when we arrived so we had to look for coal and kindling which we found in the garden. It would have been useful to have some information on how the heating works as none of the party had ever built a fire from scratch. The heating amazingly was working the following morning. Overall, it was a lovely, wee cottage in a beautiful, friendly village. I wish we could have stayed longer.

                                    Peaceful Getaway

                                    5 of 5
We loved the location in the woods and enjoyed many strolls around the area. It was in easy driving distance to many places, and the restaurant recommendations were very helpful. The home was comfortable and inviting. Thanks for providing brochures for things to do in the area. My only suggestion is better directions on getting there. When we put the postal code in, it took us up a dirt road, (although there was a more direct paved road we discovered on our explorations) thru someone's property, but we did get to see some majestic deer and were surprised to also see the bison on that drive. Would highly recommend this getaway!
