enjoyable Easter weekend with family, we had two houses in Valley View, would stay again it was a very clean and had everything we could ask for, even had an Easter Bunny waiting for us. Staff very friendly, had a lovely few days in Plymouth and Looe, would have liked to have stayed longer.

                                  Wonderful location

                                  5 of 5
If you're looking for a peaceful location with fabulous views the look no further than here. The views from the windows are superb, across and along the river, with the viaduct framing it and the fields all around it's perfect if that's what you're looking for. Absolutely fantastic for stargazing on a clear night! The Shippen was comfortable, well appointed and, apart from an awkwardly placed microwave and fridge freezer under the stairs is all you need for a self catering holiday. The main bedroom is accessed through the twin but if a young family is staying that's probably not a problem. Alison, our host, was really friendly and welcoming. Quite easy to get to Plymouth or over to Dartmoor and only a short drive down to places like Looe, Fowey or Charlestown and the Eden Project. A great place to stay. Mobile phone signal is poor though.

LOVELY STAY IN A TRANQUIL SPOT

                                  4 of 5
The cottage was a 2 bedroom with a lovely lounge/dining room with enough chairs etc for 6. All spotlessly clean and very comfortable, my son in particular enjoyed the large TV for hooking his Xbox up to. The kitchen had everything you could imagine including washing machine, dishwasher (and tablets for it) and all mod cons, usually when you go away there is something you use at home but is not there on holiday, but not here, everything was included, also plenty of crockery etc, not 4 mugs, 4 knives etc, I think there was 8 of everything, which is good if you are using the dishwasher. Reception was very helpful and friendly although I only went in once but they gave me a good map. Outside there is a lovely grassed area with a net, swingball etc set up and then another fenced area for toddlers with ride on cars, slides etc all in all very nice and caters for all. The local pub which you can walk to (just outside the gate) is the Notter Bridge, is good, local beers and reasonable food, and very friendly. Not far away was the Copley Arms which is also very nice and good food. Loads of places to visit in Plymouth and surroundings, we in particular fell in love with Looe. Never mind recommending it to a friend (which I would) I will be going back myself.
