Perfect romantic weekend away

5 of 5
I booked this property for my partner and I for our anniversay and it was the perfect spot. Quiet and picturesque this property is based in the heart of the countryside. The owners were warm and friendly on arrival, making us feel instantly at home and provided us with lots of information about the local area. Chocolates, water, bubbles and ice cream were all waiting for us on arrival. The inside of the property was clean and very comfortable, with a large garden and open spaces around the outside. The closest village of Armithwaite is around 10 minutes in the car and has a friendly pub and well stocked shop. The property is also ideally situatiated just above the Lake District, with places such as Penrith and Carlisle only 30 minutes away by car. I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a relaxing and peaceful weekend away. The views alone are worth the stay.

Lovely cottage in quiet village

5 of 5
The cottage had everything you could need for a fantastic holiday and more! The owners were very helpful and responded to all of our questions quickly. We were a little worried that the main road passing by would be noisy but we didn't hear a thing. We would definitely recommend this cottage for exploring the quieter side of the south lakes.
