Perfect, the cottage has all mod cons whilst retaining its original character

After days of research I found Margaret Cottage. I was looking for a cosy, waterside cottage, with all of the comforts of home and Margaret cottage did not disappoint. I contacted Carrie with my request and she replied within the hour. Carrie was helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The instructions for arrival were very clear and I called Nikki. who manages the cottage, when we were 15 minutes away. Nikki was waiting for us, the cottage was lovely and warm, (although it was bitterly cold outside) there were logs and kindling waiting by the log burner. Nikki was brilliant, she explained everything to us and said to call if we needed anything. The cottage really is a labour of love, beautifully decorated and furnished. It really does have everything you could think of. It was spotless, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, plenty of pots and pans, sharp knives, everything! Although the cottage accommodates six guests there are more than the usual one plate, mug, knife etc per person. it even has decent sized wine glasses!! There is also cutlery, plates. bowls etc. for the children. For warmer days there is even a cold box for transporting your picnic. The attention to detail is exceptional, there are books - novels, recipes, books for children and local history, information leaflets and magazines for the area, there is a basket of toys for the children, as well as colouring pencils, games, binoculars. The wifi was excellent as was the large T.V and Sky. There is an excellent selection of DVD's (for both adults and children), and CDs. I use EE as my internet provider and could get a good mobile signal at the front of the house. The bed was so comfortable I felt as if I was sleeping in a cloud. The towels were thick and fluffy. We only used the shower upstairs which was particularly good when the power button was pressed! When entering the front door there is a wet room, just off the porch, which I imagine would be brilliant in the summer to shower the children and adults alike rather than traipsing sand through the cottage. Children should definately go first whilst the adults await their turn sitting in the front courtyard sipping something cold as they watch the boats float by! A big bonus is the parking space right outside the cottage - I can't wait for my next visit, thank you Carrie & Nikki

Brilliant!

We are a group of three couples in our mid twenties and we had a fantastic stay in this lovely, spacious, well equipped cottage over New Year 2016-2017. The cottage had everything we could have wanted for cooking, had a lovely back garden (it was a shame it was too cold to use it!) and it's right by the beach. There's a delicious cafe and shop just down the road and there are a number of walks you can do right from the doorstep. Ruth was extremely easy to contact and always responded to questions quickly. We couldn't recommend Nanny's Cottage more!
