Fabulous peaceful location - garage & convenience store within easy walking distance & only a short drive to Bamburgh Castle and the wonderful coastal walks south towards Seahouses or north towards Holy Island. Convenient for Alnwick, Cragside, Wooler and Berwick. The cottage is well appointed and has practically everything needed for a self catering holiday for 6 including fridge, freezer & washing machine and plenty of parking space. Recently installed gas fired central heating to radiators via a combi boiler made the cottage warm and welcoming upon arrival and after a long windswept walk along the nearby beaches. Didn't need the log burner. Can't wait to return! Liz & Alan Johnson

Cobbler's Cottage was in a superb position for all the interesting places to visit and things to do and see. We filled the week - Edinburgh, Holy Island, the Farnes, the beach, Alnwick Castle, Cragside, walks and still have more we would like to do.Sue made the cottage a welcome place to return to each evening with lots of homely touches. We appreciated the thoughtful basics and home-made goodies and the wine. The children enjoyed the toys and games and DVDs they hadn't watched before, wrapped in cosy blankets thoughtfully provided against chilly evenings. Sadly we didn't discover the museum opposite until the last day - it's worth a visit at the beginning to learn how interesting Belford is. We would also highly recommend the Salmon Inn for takeaway. Northumberland was as beautiful as we remembered and we are agreed that Cobblers is one of the best places we have stayed in.
