London Stay in Kensington

5 of 5
What can I say about USA tourists visiting London and a "landlady from heaven". We four arrived with a very sick husband and Eve was kind enough to drive us to a pharmacist and then to two hospitals. She was accommodating, always answered our questions, and went overboard to basically welcome unknown strangers who renting her flat. Now, to get to the flat. We had a wonderful stay and the flat was up to our expectations. The outdoor patio was especially nice as we had fabulous weather in London and spent many hours researching what we were going to do the for the day. The location was excellent and was near a neighborhood grocery store, dry cleaner, hair salon, and a great pub/hotel. This is not a negative and was disclosed in the flat information that there are two flights of steep stairs, one to the main living area and one to the bedroom and bathroom areas. If you are disabled in any way this might be difficult to navigate. All in all, we had a wonderful trip notwithstanding one of our travelers being in the hospital. We highly recommend this flat and our gracious landlady!

wonderfully amenable haven

5 of 5
This is a wonderfully amenable haven of peace in a quiet street only steps away from the bustle of Notting Hill Gate and the convenience of three grocery chains, multiple dining/wining options and three Tube lines. It is elegant, stylish (blond wood, lots of soft armchairs, interesting books and pictures—think individualized John Lewis) and obviously lovingly cared for. The small patio and open roof terrace (careful on the steep access stairs) invite relaxed enjoyment when the sun shines, and when it doesn’t you can withdraw to the comfort of the spacious living room or the equally comfortable downstairs dining/cooking area. Four bedrooms make it hard to beat as a London pied a terre for an adult family.
