Great effort has gone into renovating this delightful cottage and it's almost perfect. The kitchen and bathroom are fitted to a really good standard and great attention has been paid to the flooring and decoration retaining original features where possible. With respect to living here for a period of time there are a few points we feel worth mentioning; We do not own a dog and were acutely aware of the smell when entering and for hours until I discovered a spray which went some way to getting rid of it. Still disconcerting though. We didn't think the heating downstairs was sufficient to make the lounge cosy. This was exacerbated by problems with the log burner. Thankfully logs were supplied but after buying our own kindling and extra firelighters at the local garage we realised that the difficulties with keeping the fire going were caused by the logs being wet! They were on sale at the garage, outside, on the forecourt in open mesh sacks and had been rained on. We assumed this may have been the cause of our problems! In spite of these points we enjoyed our stay

We stayed at this beautifully appointed cottage located in the heart of the Lakes. It had everything we could possibly want. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to spend time in the Lake District.
