  • Lovely, quiet, comfortable cottage in beautiful countryside.
    5 of 5

We spent a wonderful week at Lantern Cottage just after New Year, and it was exactly the break we needed from the holiday chaos. The property is beautifully presented, and the owner, Sue, has thought of all the amenities and homely touches you could desire: comfortable bedding, a well-supplied kitchen, all the traditional features of a chocolate box cottage, and (especially welcome on chilly nights) a wood burning fireplace and plenty of logs - there was even a jar of Hob Nobs and Ginger Nuts on the table when we arrived! The surrounding hamlet is lovely and peaceful, with a number of period homes and well-kept grounds; we look forward to coming back in summer so we can enjoy Lantern Cottage's enclosed back garden. Although the location is extremely quiet, it is within easy driving distance to conveniences like pubs, restaurants, and shopping, while major routes to places like Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, and the Cotswolds are all nearby. There are also a number of very pretty nearby towns, villages, and local churches, while the surrounding countryside is a pleasure to explore at any time of year. All in all, I can highly recommend this delightful property; our only regret is that we had to leave after a week, but we absolutely plan to return!

  • Beautifully converted coach house in quiet location 25 minute walk away from centre of Stratford

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the coach house. It has been beautifully converted and makes a very comfortable base to explore Stratford and the surrounding area. The kitchen is well equipped if you decide to eat in but there are several places to eat within a few steps and a huge choice in Stratford itself.
