Make a holiday apartment in Hampstead your home away from home

Hampstead is an affluent section of London, and the beautiful holiday rentals reflect this. You’ll find upscale Hamstead holiday apartments that feature modern décor, well-appointed kitchens and a host of amenities. Whether you are travelling alone or with a large family, you will find a Hampstead holiday rental that will meet your needs. Some of the holiday rentals have gardens, so you can enjoy some quiet time in the out of doors. A few are pet-friendly, so you can bring your four-legged family members along.

Things to do

-Museums: Many interesting museums are located near your Hampstead holiday apartment. The Hampstead Museum is inside of a historic home that was built in 1704. Inside you will find exhibits that will explain the history of this area. Another popular museum is the Freud Museum. This was Freud’s house where he lived after escaping to London from the Nazi rule in Germany.

-Pubs: Spend your evenings visiting some of the local pubs. You’ll have a chance to mingle with the locals as you sip on a pint and enjoy some pub food such as fish and chips and other favourites.

-Swimming Ponds: Another thing that Hampstead is quite well known for is its swimming ponds. These are manmade structures that were at one time bathing ponds. While you may prefer this activity during the warmer summer months, the swimming ponds are open throughout the year.

-Movies: You might not envision spending your holiday going to the movies, but the Hampstead Everyman Cinema is quite special. From you Hampstead holiday apartment you can walk to this cinema which many consider to be one the most well-appointed in all of London. Enjoy a drink at the bar before or after the show and get some tips from the theatre’s concierge about other nearby spots to visit.

Weather in Hampstead

If you want to choose when to holiday to Hampstead based on the weather then spring or summer will be the best choices. The average high temperature during the spring is 13° to 17° C. The summer average highs are 20° to 23° C. Summer is the high season in this area, so you will have to deal with more crowds and slightly higher prices. The rain is fairly steady throughout the year with between 34 and 62 mm of rain per month.

Travel to Hampstead

Your Hampstead holiday home is within a short distance of both tube and train stations. To travel from Heathrow Airport (HTR) by tube you can arrive at Hampstead or Belsize Park. If you plan to travel by train then the nearest stations are Hampstead Heath, West Hampstead or Gospel Oak.

Great location

5 of 5
The flat was very cosy, homely and comfortably accommodated 2 adults and 2 children. The location is great with easy access to a number of transport options and to local amenities. There is a fantastic selection of local shops, bars and restaurants and Elisa (property owner) made some brilliant recommendations. You must try the pasta from the local deli. We appreciated that Elisa had left her home as she would have lived in it and enjoyed flicking through the many travel guides and books in the apartment. Elisa was also very responsive to any queries we had and we were dissapointed that we didn't actually get to meet. After the hustle and bustle of the city it was very relaxing returning to leafy Hampstead and the cosy flat. I would highly recommend and if I am returning to London for another stay I would definetely come back here.
