  • An interesting and spacious property in a wonderful position

We stayed in June, and had a lovely time. There were three generations of the family staying there and we all enjoyed what the property and Barmouth had to offer. Hope to stay there again next year

  • Dolgellau: picture-postcard cottages and mountains
    5 of 5

I was very impressed with our old Welsh stone cottage, which has a lovely blend of tradition and modernity. It has lots of character - thick exposed beams and crooked walls - but is also beautifully appointed. The modern furnishings are of excellent quality and beautifully colour co-ordinated. I particularly liked the bathroom and kitchen, but would have appreciated instructions for how to use the hob (had to ask Google!) Dolgellau is a picture-postcard village of stone cottages and buildings surrounded by spectacular mountains and hills. My husband and I went for several long walks in the hills, and sometimes wondered if we should have been walking across fields so near to the sheep - they didn’t seem to mind! We went to Barmouth one day, which was only about fifteen minutes’ drive away. That is also a lovely town. We walked across the bridge and ate fish and chips by the harbour. We enjoyed our stay and have lots of great memories and photos. We would stay here again and recommend Ivy Court Cottage to friends.
