Eastbourne lies on the East Sussex coast, near the famous cliffs of Beachy Head. Lettings in Eastbourne are popular for a great many reasons, not only the beautiful beach and wonderful access onto the South Downs but also the fantastic historical heritage, cultural attractions and children’s’ amusements that abound in the region.

Things to do in Eastbourne

Lettings on Eastbourne’s famous seafront are always hugely popular due to the clean seas, dramatic views of the chalk cliffs of Beachy Head, lifeguard monitored bathing, water sports centres, and of course, the famous painted beach huts. The beaches that surround any house to rent in Eastbourne are perfect for summer fun, offering safe bathing and ideal conditions for learning a great range of water sports from wind surfing to sea kayaking. There are also a great range of amusements along the seafront to keep the whole family happy from Eastbourne accommodation. The mini-golf courses, theme parks and Dotto Train are always popular, and for the adults, the attractions are even more varied.

Holiday lettings in Eastbourne are perfectly situated as a base for explorations of the South Downs. The South Downs are home to two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and can be explored from Eastbourne accommodation on foot, by bicycle or from the saddle via a maze of paths that weave throughout the whole of the region. There are also some fantastic opportunities to explore the region from a hot air balloon, play golf and even hang glide, should the mood take you.

Eastbourne holiday lets are a fantastic spot from which to enjoy a cultural or historical break too. The region is hugely important in the history of Great Britain, with vital sites in our history including those of the Norman Invasion of 1066 right up to the Second World War. The Napoleonic Redoubt Fortress and Military Museum, Alfriston Clergy House and the impressive Herstmonceux Castle are among the finest places to visit from any Eastbourne accommodation. There are also a number of events worth considering when thinking about renting Eastbourne holiday lets. The Eastbourne International Air show, Eastbourne Extreme Festival, Beer Festival and the annual food and drink festival, Eastbourne are all worth looking into, and throughout the summer, the bandstand plays host to a huge range of musical events.

Places to visit on holiday in Eastbourne

Absolutely fantastic! no need to say more.

Having stayed at the apartment before, we knew what to expect and we were not disappointed. Everything was perfect and the weather was just the icing on the cake. Rod & Jackie. I feel that we shall be returning before too long.

Well renovated quiet country cottage

5 of 5
We wanted a quiet place to stay for 2 couples near to Lewes and this cottage is in a quiet country Lane approached via a series of twisting lanes from the main roads. There are other houses on the lane including working farms. The cottage is one of 3 conversions from the original grain store. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped and the owners, Katie and Michael were very friendly and helpful, promptly answering our questions when we had them. The cottage has 2 double bedrooms which are big enough, but not huge; comfortable beds and an en-suite shower room for each. Downstairs is open plan with a quiet corner for watching TV- we were there during the World Cup- and another comfortable sitting area at the front for those who just want to sit. The dining table was fine for the 4 of us, with space to put the foods we had bought. The fridge was quite small, but we could store other items in the freezer- we had brought some things from home to use up so it was a bit overfull at times. The garden is small but private enough to sit outside. We enjoyed the stay from where we explored the local attractions and we had good days out at Batemans and Sheffield Park and Lewes. We would return there if we wanted to come back to East Sussex.
