Just right for what we wanted

4 of 5
The cottage had controllable heating, a comfy bed and a very well equipped kitchen. Bettyhill (about 4 miles away had all the basics you could need including a repair garage (which we did need). The café in bettyhill had excellent fish and chps. beware though buses from Kirtomy are none existent and from bettyhill they are severly restricted.

Lovely, old fashioned, quirky cottage on the beautiful North Coast of Scotland

5 of 5
The first morning we heard a cuckoo. We saw it fly out from the thicket of trees just outside the cottage and watched it later on that day. We went walking along the coast and up some of the valleys, we had a lovely week. The cottage is basic, but warm and comfortable and has a charm of its own. I loved our holiday and would recommend for anyone who loves walking, nature, history, or just peace and quiet.
