Lovely cottage

5 of 5
We stayed in Bay Cottage which is an annex of Ebbingford Manor. It was a cosy cottage for two and had everything you would want for your stay. It was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The bedroom had a really comfy king-sized bed and although the property is near to a main road the noise is minimal and didn't disturb us at all. The lounge has a comfortable sofa and decent sized TV, the bathroom has a bath with shower and towels were provided, the kitchen is also well equipped. The only thing missing was wifi which would have been a welcome addition. We have been to the area many times over the years but really enjoyed being so close to Bude this time, we were able to forget about the car and just walk out and eat or walk on the cliffs or by the canal. The main negative for our visit had nothing to do with Bay Cottage but was the dreadful wet weather we had for June!! We will definitely return sometime in the future, in fact we won't bother to look for anywhere else to stay but hopefully we will have more sunshine next time.

We arrived on Saturday early, which after contacting Rebecca was not a problem. On arrival Rebecca showed us around and presented a wonderful basket of goodies including a complete cream tea and clotted cream cookies. The cottage is in a beautiful setting with open views across the fields. It was fascinating watching the resident Barn owl hunting at dusk. When things became a bit chilly in the evening the wood burner soon revived our spirits. In the early evening, after being out all day, the Hot Tub was fantastic. Again sitting there watching the wild life was very relaxing. We totally recommend the cottage. With its WiFi ( which Tim worked his magic for us) and it's setting is superb. We will definitely make a note to return. 10 out of 10 . We are keeping this one on our secret getaway list.
